Senior Associate / Junior Vice President



Inner Circle Sports is an investment banking boutique located in New York City and focused on advising in the sports, media and entertainment sectors.  Through our advisory practice we offer M&A, capital raising, financing and other services.  We focus on teams, leagues, stadiums and operating companies in sports, media and technology.  With an opportunistic mandate, this is a rare opportunity to combine corporate finance skills within the sports, media and entertainment industries.



The Senior Associate/Junior Vice President will be a “deal quarterback” on multiple transactions, responsible for, among other things: due diligence, structuring, raising financing, negotiating and documentation.  The candidate would have a range of activities across execution and origination.  Accordingly, the successful candidate will have outstanding quantitative and communications skills.  She/he should be able to independently manage most aspects of a transaction, and seek the input or involvement of senior team members as appropriate.  Although the primary function of the role will be execution related, this individual will also share in sourcing new deals for the firm. Candidates will be given a great deal of responsibility and autonomy, and will be expected to work in a self-directed manner.  



With approximately 5-8 years of transactional finance experience, the successful candidate will most likely come from an advisory or investment role, and will also have a strong educational background.  Previous experience in sports, media, entertainment and/or technology is preferred (e.g., experience in a TMT group at an investment bank or in a CorpDev role at a media strategic).  It is essential that the candidate be highly intelligent, energetic and effective, and approach deals with a creative, opportunistic orientation.  M&A experience is required. 


On a personal level, the successful candidate should be self-starting and resourceful.  The candidate will be required to aggressively pursue deals, drive them to completion and proactively think of alternative deal structures that would maximize value to our clients.  The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated, resourceful and comfortable working in a lean, loosely-structured entrepreneurial environment.
